SAUSAGE ROLLS!

Yay! Just made some low carb sausage rolls. 2 grams carbs per sausage roll, or only 1 if you believe the net carb stuff. All golden brown and really scrummy( had to test one!)

I know you'll hate it, but I used 75% carbalose and 25% soya flour. Both have a funny taste, but together the tastes cancel out and the consistency is good - carbalose goes too hard, and soya too soft, together great! I used 90% pork meat from sainsburys. I made "rough puff" pastry, just the flours and butter, rolled and folded then rolled etc and glazed with egg. Don't hate me for the flour!

Grazer - of course I dont hate you, how could anyone even hate you. Its not your fault that I am a fusspot when it comes to certain ingredients.
I think its great, you get a craving for sausage rolls, you go and make low carb versions, makes me very happy to hear it.
I get so upset each and every time someone comes to the forum not knowing how to deal with their diabetes, how to reduce bg levels, your experiences and advice never fails to cheer me up.
Thanks

Just a thought grazer but whats the other 10%, could it be white breadcrumbs? :|

It's cereals etc, but still only 3 grams carbs per 100, and I allowed for it in my "Grams per sausage roll" figure. Don't care anyway
