Scared to go for a1c test

Not for me. For my daughter. The feeling is like I go for my final test at the university. I am scared of a higher number. Anyone else has this stupid phobia?

Think of this way @metelskaya its just a number, however it's also a useful gauge too, gives you the starting point to a discussion too, not something to take personally or get upset about but to me it's like a measuring chart for my diabetes as I know what works and what doesn't by getting it checked, nothing to worry about honestly, am off for mine tomorrow ;)

Probably all of us at some point. Have the numbers been a concern over the last few months or is all roughly on track?
It is one number, it will either say all is going ok or will give you a starting point to work from to improve.

Used to be one of the reasons i hated going to the doc. 20 years on now i have come to realise if its high they are there to help get it down. I wouldn't be in range and ok to get pregnant without my diabetes team

When I need any test for anything, and especially when waiting for test results, I just tell myself that worrying is pointless. It changes nothing. If it's bad, it's bad, and would still be bad even if I hadn't had the test, so having the test at least puts you in the position of being able to treat it rather than letting it progress to being even more bad. And it might be good!
