I found this link on the Diet Doctor site:
http://nutritionfacts.org/2016/11/17/fat-is-the-cause-of-type-2-diabetes
The problem is, this looks so scientific and believable. In fact, it reminds me of a lot of articles I have read on LCHF and the followers seem just as enthused.
Now, I think that Michael Greger, M.D. and the nutritionfacts.org is phoney, but this sort of thing really scares me, showing what we are up against. I am not a biochemist, so I have to rely on believing someone out there is telling the truth.

Some of what he is saying is absolutely supporting by science. Generally, most people are more insulin resistant on a low-carb/high-fat diet in the short-term.

HOWEVER, the value of a low-carb/high-fat diet is that your body often needs significantly less insulin to maintain healthy blood sugar levels. Using arbitrary numbers it's like asking: would you rather be sensitive to insulin but need 40 units a day, or be more resistant to insulin yet only need 5 units?

The mistake he is making is that he is assuming people adopt a low-carb diet only temporary. Many people have adopted the low-carb approach and chosen to continue it long-term.

When he says the more fat one eats the higher one's blood glucose level, he is lying. Yes, a low carb diet can cause physiological insulin resistance, but if you're not eating much carbs, then this won't result in elevated blood glucose levels. My diet has been around 80% fat since June 2015 and my blood glucose levels are not elevated. And when I do eat carbs my blood glucose level is almost always back to premeal levels within 2 hours.
