Hi everyone,
First I wanted to say hi. I'm Gary and I'm new to the diabetes.co.uk forum, and so far I'm so impressed with what I've seen on here. I've recently been diagnosed with type 2, but my nephew has type 1 so I have a couple of reasons to be here really.
A friend of mine recently put me onto this school award that's hosted by a different company called Diabetes UK, and I wonder if any other parents have had experience with this? It's called the Good Diabetes Care in School Awards.
My nephew's school provides the most incredible care, and I'm quite keen to put in an application, but I'm not sure what the best way to go about it would be.
Let me know if any of you guys have had experience with this and whether you think it's worth doing?
Looking forward to e-meeting you all.
Gary
