I have been type 2 diabetic for about six years and have managed quite well in my control. Take a combination of Metformin, Actos and Prandin. However, I have recently been experiencing hypos. I am a secondary school teacher in London and am finding myself in very stressful situations which seem to bring on the hypos. I have fainted in my classrtoom many times much to the childrens' constination. I have been teaching art for 35 years in London and internationally but the school I am currently working in is difficult in so many ways I would end up writing a novel if I explained the complications here. I am too old to get another teaching job and anyway I can retire in a couple of years. I have always loved teaching and working with kids but I now find I am not coping as well as I used to and think the stress of my job is affecting my diabetes. Any ideas?

Hi pablo.

Sounds like you need to get this sorted out asap. What you describe could be Diabetes related but could also be caused by many other things. Stress manifests itself in many different ways too ?

You need to see your GP urgently.
