OK, thank you! They are very hard to crush - didn't know you can get milled ones. Might continue to eat them whole as well for 'roughage'.I never eat them whole. I only use flaxseed (linseed) but I always buy the milled ones and sprinkle it on my food.

Many thanks for your prompt replies, Bluetit1802
UnderstoodThe milled flaxseed works wonders for me. I have to be careful not to overdo it!
Good idea - thanks!I do both whole and milled flaxseeds (Linwoods), along with Tesco's sunflower seeds, just because they are cost effective and the reseal capabilities.
Probably one teaspoon but not every day. I usually add them to salads and yoghurt but see no reason why they could not be added to soups and stews as well.May I ask how much flaxseed you would take in one day and can you add some to soups and stews?
Or a pepper or salt table mill may work too. I find Aldi is quite cheap on theirs, and you get to use the pepper too. From what I've read in the past, they have to be milled to get the nutrients or they just pass through. This was years ago but makes sense.
I would think a coffee grinder would work. I always just bought milled.

lol!I don't think milled are anymore expensive than whole.
I always kept mine in the freezer too.
Some of our stores have coffee grinders for when we buy whole coffee beans. Thinking you could sneak it in those too if you have them. SSSSHHHHH
