Seeing DSN instead of Doctor?

Hi, I was due my annual review this week but last week found out at work there was a very important union meeting on the same day/time. I immediately phoned up my clinic asking if I could reschedule. Silly me, didn't realised until after the receptionist cancelled it that b/c the appt is was with the doctor I would now have to wait until I could be slotted in. Just got the new appt today and it's not until the end of next March :banghead: I never miss my clinic appts and I actually wanted to ask the doc if I could get sent for a celiac test and just mention a few other things. Plus, I like to have things don such as the protein test and obviously my A1c test.

My DSN (who I have not seen in ages) is very on the ball (she is the nurse consultant there) and has arranged and sent me for tests before (such as for Addison's Disease) when my cortisol levels came back low and I'm wondering if I should make an appt with her to get my ususal checks, if that is at all possible.

Is it general protocol to go to your DSN for protein and related blood tests, etc?

i would ask if you can get in earlier as march is 9 months away

I know, ally, I was thinking that myself. It means I will have missed this years review. I think I will actually.

Going by what you've said your DSN should be fine.
