Hi,I wonder if i could get any opinions or any people that have experienced what happened to me at the weekend.
At the weekend i had another hypo scare where my levels dropped really low which resulted in me going unconscious and having a seizure. I was asleep and my libre alarm never went off as it disconnected which happens sometimes but this was a bad time for it to do it. Its been 5 days now and i still feel shook from it and still dont feel mentally right if that makes sense. Is it normal to still feel not right days after it happened?
So like sometimes when i go on the app it doesnt come up with a reading then i go to scan and says try again in ten minutes. It does happen quite a bit if im honest and obviously that is what happened on saturday as my alarm in set to if my readings go below 5It was decades ago now well before libre with the alarms that I used to have nocturnal hypos that would send me into seizures that would take a good week before I recovered properly , it used to feel like my brain was rattling around in my skull , It was something I thought could never happen again with the libre alarms and fortunately for me it hasn't , can I ask why your libre disconnected as that does sound strange .
Thank you for the response, ye i think ive gotten lazy with the meter as have just relied on the libre. Ive ordered a new meter as mine is dated so will definitely use it more often@G.Donald98 ,
From what I know about Libres.
The algorithm will try to chop sense into the interstitial reading.
This means the “try again in ten” is either due to a rapid interpretation of rise or fall in BGs, or a “compression low” from lying on the sensor whilst asleep making it think it’s a rapid drop??
I would surmise the “try in 10” is Abbott covering their back incase of the wrong interpretation whilst this is going on?
To kind of avoid the user from making false treatment decisions?
Always best to grab the meter in this instance. (They recommend it?)

Interesting to hear you bite your tongue , I used to do that too so badly that I would be spitting blood and end up with mouth ulcers for a week that were so painful they would bring tears to my eyes .I’ve had several seizures due to hypos. When my blood sugar starts to drop it drops like a stone really rapidly and I can’t always treat quick enough. My libre 2 also loses connection, especially when dropping or rising rapidly.
The seizures have caused me to fall a bang my head badly several times, I’ve bitten my tongue really badly and ended up in hospital or with paramedics treating me too. One time I put my back out so badly I couldn’t stand up straight or walk for days. It’s happened a lot less with libre because I have my low alarm set at 5 mmol/l. The recovery time from having the seizures are often up to a week for me, feeling like I’ve been beaten up or my brain has been violently shook up.
Hi , my name is Brian, my sugar level can drop suddenly to very very low level such as 1.8molor 35md/gl. I go into a coma which lasts about 3-5hrs .And yes after 2 days i am back to normal .no memory loss or physical damage apart from brusies from when i fell. But yes depends on your body and age , i am 68 yrs old . Your body needs time to get back to normal. For high sugar levels it takes me 5 days to get my sugar level back to normal .I wonder if i could get any opinions or any people that have experienced what happened to me at the weekend.
