Semaglutide shortage.

I have been unable to get my prescription of Semaglutide filled for some time now, and it appears this is a worldwide shortage.
I’m also on slow release insulin, can I compensate for the lack of Semaglutide by upping my insulin?

Which amount can’t you get. I’m down to 0.5 mg I can still get that.
 
I'm on 1mg injections and have been having supply problems for quite a while now, looks like it's not just the UK. Just wondering what other people in the same situation are doing.
 
I would suggest that if you are unable to get a prescribed medication, and haven't been able to do so for some time, then visit your GP or other health professional who prescribed the Semaglutide and get their advice on how to proceed safely.
 
I wonder if this is due to several brands pushing Semalglutide as a weight loss aid, such as Juniper UK and several American companies?

It was on sky news online before Xmas saying it was being used a lot for weight loss. Not fair on those that use it for diabetic reasons.
 
My doctors/chemist have had problems with this since October. I take 1mg a week injection. At the moment tho I'm sometimes give 0.5mg which I have to do 2 doses of or the 0.25mg pen which I have to do 4 doses of to make up the 1mg I usually have. Are other people not being prescribed this way?? The diabetic specialist at the hospital said I could have it like this when they couldn't get the 1mg.
