Yes I have thanks. No side effects at all. They have reduced my appetite, but there still needs to be a bit of will power exerted. I need to be strict on keeping my portion sizes smaller or I feel uncomfortable if I eat too much. Thanks, have you done ok on them so far
Hi they’ve have finally prescribed it but I’ve noticed that they’ve prescribed 7mg I thought the starting dose was 3mg .. did you start on 7I should add that both GLP1 meds along with a low carb diet have kept my HbA1cs in the 30s, and I have lost three and a half stone since April 23, so weight loss has been slow but sure.
I started on a month at 3mg then moved up to 7mg. Maybe check with your dr and/or pharmacist if 7mg is correct for you?Hi they’ve have finally prescribed it but I’ve noticed that they’ve prescribed 7mg I thought the starting dose was 3mg .. did you start on 7
I'm afraid I had to go through the same procedure. I was on Dapagliflozin for a couple of years then had to come off it but earlier this year the diabetes nurse agreed I could go back. The first time she just prescribed the pills but this time I had to go to the hospital for a 'special' blood test which needs to go straight into the fridge. There's been a change in protocol and they need to check levels of insulin production in the body amongst other things so yes it took nearly 3 weeks before the all clear was given. Good luck.I’m tearing my hair out with my surgery, after a lot of pushing the Gp asked the diabetes team if it was ok to prescribe semaglutide which they said yes to they said there was no chance of osemphic injections as there’s no supply mounjaro wasn’t even mentioned. So the Gp said she’d be happy to prescribe but just needs to run it by the in-house clinical pharmacist who has now said I need an appointment with her to “check a few things” no appointments for 2 weeks - so those who have been prescribed the tablets what are they so concerned about? honestly a Gp now has to check with two different sources before they can prescribe something .. anyone with experience of this id appreciate your thoughts
Hi @Nan Ann & welcome to the forumHi, I just joined the Ascend-plus trail, I am a type 2 diabetic. interested in any feedback from others on study using Semaglutide, especially positive as I can only see negative feedback which is putting me off
Glad you got the 3mg starting dose in the end, I didn’t get much if any weight loss on that starting dose either. So a week in at 3mg and no side effects and no weight loss which was expected as it’s a starting low dose, however I have noticed my clothes are looser and my tummy seems smaller, anyone experienced this
I’m about to go up to 14mg I didn’t loose much on the 7 dose, did you see a difference on the higher dose?Glad you got the 3mg starting dose in the end, I didn’t get much if any weight loss on that starting dose either.
I only went from 3mg to 7mg, which I remain on now. Weight loss has slowed but still losing. My blood sugars are normal (I eat a low carb diet), so 14mg has never been mentioned for me.I’m about to go up to 14mg I didn’t loose much on the 7 dose, did you see a difference on the higher dose?
I lost on 4mgs and 7 mgs but since going on ?? placebo have not and have put on some.I’m about to go up to 14mg I didn’t loose much on the 7 dose, did you see a difference on the higher dose?
