Yes.
The Toujeo is U300, which means that every milliliter of insulin holds 300 units.
Most insulins are U100, meaning that they have 100 units of insulin per milliliter.
But Toujeo only comes in pre-filled pens, which are adjusted to that difference.
So if you dial up 20 units, it will be the same amount of insulin, just a smaller amount of fluid, 20 units is 20 units!
The only thing you shouldn't do is take the insulin from the pen with a syringe to inject. If you do this, it won't be right, because insulin syringes are based on U100 insulin.

I would expect your practitioner to advise you and for you not to take advice on a public forum. You must have a specialist nurse or doctor so call them before doing anything as you may not wake up.
Both my GP practice nurse, who was treating my diabetes at the time, and my pharmacist who supplied me with U200 insulin got this wrong and would have let me inject only half of what I needed if I hadn't done my research when switching from U100 to U200.
Thankfully there was the internet where I could do my research and show it to my practice nurse and pharmacist. They both apologised.

Your advice to check with your HCP is sound, I completely agree with that!
But I also wanted to warn that they can make mistakes as well, hence my sharing information on how Insulin Units work.

Thankyou everyone, know it’s 1:1 for sure now but indeed my diabetic nurse and a senior and maybe two g.p’s are going with the ‘it’s stronger so take 1/3 the units’ approach. I’m hoping it is resolved soon. It’s been a very unpleasant experience and nobody seems to want to take note of the absolute evidence I’m showing them. Because I’m just a patient.

The resolution was that they called, said to reduce my dose from 64 to 57 to avoid hypos (I’m currently still running between 11 and 18 on average, sometimes higher and that’s not eating many carbs) and to only titrate once a week….because it’s stronger (I groaned inwardly when she said that ) she said that over 40 units has diminishing returns due to absorption…I’m not sure that’s because of volume and maybe I’ll be better on toujeo.She did eventually admit the original nurse made a mistake but it was very played down. She said the worse that would have happened would have been I’d have gotten higher blood sugars. Uh huh, thanks for that. I hate how I had to stand my ground and how stressed and upset I was, going down from 64 to 21 would have set me back weeks of titration . Toujeo will be my 7th medication, all others have been ineffective. Keto is very much frowned upon, I’ve not dared to mention intermittent fasting ! What this HAS done is remind me that I need to take charge of this, maybe save up to see a consultant privately
You can simply inject twice to reduce the volume going in.
I sometimes do all in one go, sometimes I split (98 units of Tresiba U200) and never noticed a difference.
