Hi
I have a sugar problem not diabetes. With this condition I get fatigue if I stimulate my insulin reaction. I have the "hunter" gene. My glucose tolerance test rises for over 2 hours before crashing. I think people with this gene do not process sugar until their blood sugar rises to an unknown value. I have avoided stimulating my insulin reaction for about 8 years. I have theorised that this could be done by diabetics. I read that this is being tried. It may be interesting to hear that people with the "hunter" gene do not necessarily lose weight on a severe Atkins diet and on such a diet their blood sugar slowly rises over time. After about 8 years my fasting blood sugar is 99 and my A1C is 5.8. I am checking to see if I will reach an equilibrium.
