Severe earache

I have diabetes type two. I have severe earache in my right ear. Does anyone have any self-help earache remedies please? Thank you in advance.
 
Hi and welcome.
You have my sympathy for the earache. I always hotfoot it to GP or pharmacy. Important to determine cause of the earache.Especially if pain is severe, or accompanied with high temperature, discharge from the ear, or other symptoms.
 
As above see a pharmacist if you can
maybe try a hot water bottle or wheat bag thing on or near the ear
place a towel over the ear first, usual pain killer paracetamol etc
