Severe Insulin Resistance

Hi,

Posting in Type 2 although officially they are "not sure" of my diabetes but treat me as type 2. MODY has been ruled out and they believe mine is caused by lipodystrophy. I know I won't find other sufferers of that here but I am being referred to a severe insulin resistance clinic as that is something I am finding impossible to overcome and it's where I'd also be officially diagnosed with the former. I was wondering if there were any other diabetics on here with severe insulin resistance and if they had any advice. I dread the idea of taking huge amounts of insulin as I already struggle with my weight. I'm also not sure how I'll be getting to Cambridge as I live up in the north east but that's a different story! I do eat low carb (~30-40g a day) and mostly OMAD currently.
