Hello All,

I would like to know how can it be proved that its neuropathy in the nerve endings of the penis or Hardening of the arteries / atherosclerosis.

As GP's and nurses, as soon as they see that we are diabetic, they BLAME EVERYTHING ON IT..

Sorry for the caps, but it kind of upsets me..

So are there any test that wudwud should be asking for to prove or disprove or any other things that he should be looking at.

Come on guys and gals or any doctors / nurses out there, any advice.

Cheers

Hello.
All I can think off and remember is when I attended and did the DESMOND course the DSN's emphasised
on the males in my group, saying high BG's can contribute erectile dysfunction in men.
3 out of the 5 men in the group said they were experiencing this at that point of time.
Hope this helps?
Anna.

Thanks everyone dont really check my bg very often as everything seemed to be going ok ive changed my diet cut down on drinking alcohol from every weekend to one weekend day in every six and never as much as i used to drink in a night ive lost weight down from 28 stone to 25 and falling couldnt get in with my.doctor todayso will have to see when i can get to see him

Possibly, his partner could do a sensitivity test? If you had several things that were different degrees of softness - maybe a feather, a tissue, very soft brush, and then stroke them over the head of the erect penis (whilst he didn't look) to see which was felt most or least. It might be fun too.

Another issue might be condoms, if used, I know they aren't brilliant for sensitivity no matter what the Rubber Barons say.
