pre lunch BS 61 (3.3mmol)
sourdough multi cereal bread (edited normally about 70g)
low fat cammebert about 40gm
huge mixed salad, vinaigrette dressing
2 kiwi fruit
50 carbs
pre dinner (before cooking ) BS 60 (3.3 mmol)
a few cheese straws whilst cooking 'cos BS a little low (didn't count them in carbs for bolus)
(mentioned doing that to doctor, she doesn't approve... too high fat)
fish/herb pesto
asparagus
broccoli
new potatoes ( edit:150-20g depending on how hungry I am, actually tend towards the lower nowadays)
strawberry/peach fruit salad with a bit of 'squirty' cream.
2 bits 76% chocolate (never count this in my total carbs)
red wine ( a couple of glasses)
60 carbs
(total carbs 148 +)
3 hours after dinner 80 (4.4mmol)
This morning 84(4.6mmol)
Breakfast 38gm carb reduced bolus insulin to try to make BS higher for run.
also cut basal to .1 unit an hour for 2.5 hours.
2 hour 145 (8mmol)
5 mile run (after 30min 74,(4.1mmol) 1dextrose : 4 carbs)
pre lunch 51 (2.8mmol) ( a bit low so should have had another dextrose
Yes, they don't have much (if any) insulin of their own. The insulin producing cells are normally killed off by an autoimmune 'attack'lucylocket61 said:Thank you Phoenix.
