copepod said:I can't see any reason to put used blood glucose testing strips into sharps bins - they're bulky and many people have enough problems getting rid of full sharps boxes without filling them faster. Strips have a tiny amount of blood, compared to sanitary items (tampons or pads), which should be placed in domestic waste, not down the toilet.
