Sharps boxes, where have they gone???

South Somerset and I had no problem getting a bin issued and it was recently collected and replaced. My parents also have a bin and the same procedure applies.

Boots pharmacy sell a 1 litre sharps bin for £1.52. I believe because they provided the bin, you may also return it to them for disposal if your HCP is unable to offer you a suitable collection service.

When I was being investigated for diabetes early August 2014, I was given a blood glucose monitor and a prescription for the appropriate test strips, lancets and a sharps bin. I chose to purchase the sharps bin for £1.52 rather than pay a prescription charge of £8.10 (or what ever it was).
