anyone with type one ever suffered with shingles type 1 for 30years but just be diagnosed with shingles any comments advice greatly appreciated
 
Hi and welcome to the forum.

Shingles can affect anyone. If you google, shingles type1 diabetes you will find several articles.
 
I had it about 5 years ago, and it got into my trigeminal nerve, and that was very painful. It took about 3 months to go away. But it doesn't count because I am a type 2 :-)
