My local pharmacist has told me that my Ozepic injection pen is subject to a national shortage and although he will keep trying he could not say when it will be available again.
has anyone else had this problem and how did you get over the problem

Welcome to the forum @Probins .
There have been several threads recently about shortages of this group of drugs (incretin mimetics). I am owed Victoza from my pharmacy, they have no idea if they will get it for me before my current pens run out. I have spoken to my diabetes nurse and we have a plan B incase I run out.

My husband's heart tablets have been in short supply several times now, having once ran out on the run-up to a Christmas holiday season I now make sure we've got a whole week in reserve. Don't need that sort of stress. We now use one of the online chemists (pharmacy2U.co.uk) they keep us up to date with supply issues. It's so painless having the meds delivered through the letterbox without having to do any chasing around.
