Basically, I have a UTI/ kidney infection and bacteria in my urine as well as glucose. I feel awful and I'm on antibiotics. There's this thing I want to go to next week, but im not sure if I should drink. (I will be off my antibiotics by then) I don't know whether it's drink that caused this in the first place

@Chloesnavy I wouldn't if I was you. Alcohol may make your UTI symptoms worse and many antibiotics say to avoid alcohol anyway.

I'd stick to non-acidic soft drinks (avoid diet drinks - they may irritate your bladder) or I'd stay home on this occasion. UTIs are unpleasant and the sooner you can shake it off the better. Resting, keeping hydrated and keeping warm works for me.

Hi,

Funny enough, I'm not know for my sense & sensibility.. But I agree with the above! Leave the booze alone.
Waterworks infections are known to "spin out" the elderly.

I appreciate it's an inconvenience. Just give yourself a chance to recover fully..

No need to stay at home, just drink non alcoholic or sugary drinks, which probably just means non fizzy water with a slice of lemon! I know boring!

Antibiotics will have raised your blood sugar. Also you should be eating probiotics to combat thrush and to coast gut health.

This sucks! Haha. But thank you guys I'll be good and stay home

It doesn't need to "suck".! I've had many a great night out without booze...

Mainly cuz I'm driving. Lol

There's nothing more exciting than watching drunken people trying not to be drunk.

Try negotiating heavy band equipment through a whole crowd of em at the end of the night...

Don't let it stop you having a night out, you can still have a laugh - I am out tonight on water, will be watching my mates get merry and talking nonsense and i'll be the only one remembering it all tomorrow.. (cue wicked laughter..!)
