Work night shift as a care assistant, long hours n very little sleep, about 4 hours between shifts. About a month ago lot started happening both in and out of wrk...very stressed n sugars hi as result. Last week I near passed out, lay mesel n floor so didn't collapse, managed to check sugars, wer 20, came round short time later. A day or 2 after there was a day I took near double my usual insulin, ate little n sugars still high. Then the past few days they av been constantly low, eat so much but take forever to go up n dnt go up much wen they do. And I'm constantly feeln weak n shaky as if my sugars r low even wen they r fine. Shud I see doc or hope it sorts itself out? I'm normally fine, avnt been to hosp since I was about 10 (I'm 24) cos of fits, nly once couple years ago n that was self inflicted so wen I'm nt well I'm really nt well :/

Could be coming down with a cold, it can play funny with ppl even if it does X normal it can always do Y as well

However, that being said getting in to see your endrocronolgist/doc isn't a bad idea to get things checked out because what might be nothing could well be something.

I don't think there are many people who will tell you not to see your doctor if you have concerns about your health and we certainly can't take over his job.

Let us all know how you get on.

Hi. Are you having reviews and an Hba1C test with the doc at least every 6 months or so? Yes, you do need to see the GP. What insulin regime are you one e.g. one or two insulins? Do you measure regularly. Let us know more and we may be able to provide some (amateur) guidance from our own experience but you do need to see the doc.
