Hi I'm Margo I'm T2 about 6 years now I'm diabetes burnouts I do not care about I am on the pump and I am just sick of it I know it is wrong of me but I just want to eat and not thing about carbs and how much to eat OKAY I'm sick of green food

Hi I agree that there are many foods you can eat such as eggs, bacon, fish, meat, nuts and so on. Don't forget that the Western love affair with loads of carbs (in particular sugar) is a fairly recent thing and it's worth considering what people have eaten over the centuries and hence reducing the amount of carbs you might be consuming?

Hey I get you. I get sick of it too. I usually make some oopsie bread and eat a very large bacon cheeseburger. 0 carb, feels like a total cheat. We all get sick of it after a time and we all feel like chucking the whole thing and doing what we want. For me, I have the most gorgeous little 6 year old granddaughter and I want to dance at her wedding.

Red peppers, yellow peppers, radishes, red onions, purple cabbage, tomatoes, beetroot, sweetcorn (not too much!), mushrooms, purple broccoli, cauliflower, butternut squash, pumpkin - I'm sure there are other non-green veg out there too.

I'm the same way but waiting for a gorgeous grand daughter or handsome grandson but I want to be here when it happens

I too just eat something much bigger but still low carb like a big a*s burger with bacon but I love a fried egg on top too! I can never finish it but it sure feels good.

There are ways to make the same foods look different. I can make a salad, a chopped salad or a lettuce wrap all with the same ingredients but it looks different. Using different herbs and spices helps too, or different dressings. I even love a crumbled up rare burger on a lettuce wrap with a mustard mayo dressing. Gooey!

That being said we all have our DAYS! I just had a few. It does pass.

I like the way flat bs feels more than most foods and I am a foodie so it took some getting used to. Luckily I have found meals I enjoy very much and they keep me flat. I just eat them and forget about everything I can't eat. I'm on autopilot now. Make food, eat it and forget it

I've been on the LCHF (low carb high fat) diet for 2 years now and I love it. I have absolutely no desire to return to my old carb laden diet. I enjoy the challenge of creating low carb meals and have discovered some great recipes on these forums. Oopsie bread is now one of my favourites and it feels naughty but has almost zero carbs.
I've just finished a lovely meal Stir fried prawns with ginger, leek, butternut squash and courgette ( just veg I had in the fridge) added a little garlic and pepper... scrummy :) Finished with fresh raspberries and cream BG 6.0 before the meal and 6.3 after.
Explore the forums for ideas, there are some very helpful and inspiring members :)
