Hi
I hate this hangover feeling every morning n most of the day when BS it above 11.5 which mostly is. Today is bad as 12.5 on waking but did go yo bed on 17.2 after trying new snack dont think ill b eating that again! I no i dont really want a hypo but i would like to get a low BS sugar reading soon lowedt its bn its 7.2 oh well one day.

Hi. Your profile says you are on oral meds i.e. a Type 2? What was your last HBa1C and when was it last taken? It sounds like you need to review your meds with the GP. I assume you are following much of the diet advice on this forum including low-GI and low carbs?
 
Yes im on 3x metformin n 100mg slitiglin low carbs 15/20 g per meal. Last one was in Oct 7.9 i think im due one next month.

Hi. Thanks for feedback. You shouldn't have a hypo with those two meds. An HBa1c of 7.9 is a fairly high. With your low-ish carb diet and those meds the HBa1C should be lower. See what your next test is and discuss what action is needed with the doc. If you are still quite young e.g. below 30-40 and not overweight then you might want to check with the doc about the possibility of an alternative diagnosis of late onset type 1?
 
If you're over weight lose some weight, that'll help a fair bit... If you're of normal-ish weight and not over eating you probably need Insulin.

Insulin makes managing diabetes super easy...Speak to GP :)
