Type 2 side effects of metformin

Hi all , just gone on 4 METFORMIN 500 mg, a day , i get lot of wind about an hour after taking them i take them with my meal morning and evening , other wise i seem to be ok ,thanks for any help all the best .
 
I've just had the same problem with constipation, bad stomach due to metformin. Of this doesn't improve go back to your gp who will in all probability put you on something different or metformin slow release
 
Ask for a stomach settler also. I found it has almost gone now with very little if any discomfort
 
my problems went away by itself after the first 2-3 weeks I also had a lot of rumbling in my stomach

thanks for help ,will try it a bit longer ,i had your problem but metformin has done the job.

When I first started Metformin I was on only two 500 mg a day and it made me extremely nauseated. I started taking only one instead and made a Dr. appointment to get on something else. When I told my Dr. though all she did was give me nausea pills which don't work and I was only given 20 a month anyway. No where near enough. I told her again and she didn't do anything. She just tells me to take two. Well, I can't so I am back to taking only one a day. My last blood test looked really good though so I guess I will just continue on like that. I have a horrible Dr.!

thanks for your info , sorry about your Dr, i am quite lucky with mine , i will give them a week or ,to see how i go good luck.
