You'll probably find it easier to educate your carbs gradually rather than cut them drastically all at once. That way your insulin needs can be monitored carefully and, again, make it less likely you'll have a hypo.
Low carbing is quite easy, all you need to do is cut carby foods.
What medication are you taking, and can you test your BG before and after meals. If you are able to test it should give you an idea as to if your BG falls to near hypo levels.
Ok, so I advise you to speak to your diabetes nurse before reducing your carbs. If you suddenly cut them right down without making adjustments to your insulin that might cause you to have low sugars.
