soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
It's amazing to me how dense I sometimes am. This morning it struck me that the 28g of carbs in that slice of black bread, was too much with my breakfast boiled egg. So I cut it in half. Instant low carb bread! I've walked 13,500 steps since then, so I think I'll have walked it off.

The penny has dropped at last

i posted a link mentioning the above a while ago

If people want to eat a low carb bread all they have got to do is buy a normal sliced loaf from supermarket and cut the slice in half. A slice of bread that is about 16g carb then becomes 8g.

The same with biscuits, crackers etc. Just snap them in half. You will get low carb and save loads of money.

If no one wants to get by with eating half slices of bread, get a breadmaker and buy some breadmix. When the loaf is cooked and has cooled down, get an electric knife and cut the loaf into thin slices. Again, you will have reduced carb.

Living well with diabetes doesnt mean going to supermarkets and buying really expensive low carb stuff. I live extremely well on little money and just using basic common sense

I have to add to this that I did try to get Sainsburys to slice me up a normal wholegrain loaf into thin slices but alas all that can be done these days are medium and thick slices. All is not lost though as all folks have to do is just slice the loaf up themselves using an electric knife at home.
Instant low carb bread at a fraction of the price that Warburton would no doubt charge.

14g is still waaaay to much for me!
I like one or two slices of the low-carb bread at 2g a slice. And it tastes lovely.

I have walked a total of 16,713 today. Spoiled it by going out to Nepalese restaurant with husband . Chose carefully and walked there and back. Will check Bg soon. I've come into some strips.T1 Husband has been given a different meter by the diabetologist. I get his horde. Just like buried treasure!

iHs, I get my bread from the low carb megastore. I'm being very lazy in sourcing the stuff for fergus' recipe.
