Hi,
I am type1 mid 40 y/o Man type1 since child. Been taking Simvastatin for about 3 years now.
I have researched that this drug can give you muscle pain.
I am currently experiencing pain in my right arm including weakness in this arm, I am also aware my other arm also but not like other. Sometimes its in my neck also and down to my hands which also at times feeling cold and not a lot of feeling.
I guess this is unrelated that I am also experiencing needing to pee a whole lot, at times 3 to 4 times in night. During day time its just embarrassing at times can get urgency and then if not in time..
In the past a diabetic specialist doctor told me to run my BG's higher between 12mmol to 15 for a period of time namely 8 to 12 weeks to regain my hypo awareness and stop the need for peeing so much. I am currently doing this now by taking Lantus at 6 units at night and 6 units morning and adjusting Novo Rapid accordingly.
I will speak to specialist quite soon although my HBA1c remain good and feeling health professionals want to know this and then usher to the exit until next year.
If I am honest this is really getting me down right now and affecting my life very negatively.
I am sharing this to see if any forum members can relate here.
Best wishes to all here and thanks if you read this
