I bought the oaty ones and the digestives, sugar free and very palatable! Am I missing something, or can they be part of a calorie controlled diet? Any advice, thoughts or comments?
Hi - I see from Sainsbury's website that although being described as "sugar-free" these biscuits are 73% carbohydrate, which of course is digested to glucose. They claim 60kcals "per portion" which I think may mean "each biscuit".
I know there's a few things here that are red flags for many people.
I don't control or even count my calorie intake so I won't comment directly on that. The carb content is much too high for me for just a biscuit. That's in terms of my overall aim of around 20g carb/day, which I'd reach with two biscuits.
If you're counting calories, I don't know whether you can fit a couple of biscuits within what ever you're aiming for each day.

@Ruthjo do you have BS monitor? Unfortunately many of the sugar free foods contain a high number of carbs which are not good for diabetics. However we all react differently and I’m lucky in that I can tolerate more carbs than many on this forum but, even now having had normal hba1c for 10 years, any new carby food I still test a couple of times to see whether it’s a ‘keeper’ or not. Looking at the ingredients I suspect it wont be but you never know - I’ve been surprised a couple of times!!
