Hi can anyone help pls..I’ve tried Metformin..and now Sitagliptin for my diabetes..I’ve been having twinges round myoancreas and am horrified to read they can cause Pancreatic cancer...what can I try next Tia x

Hi, some gliptins such as Sitagliptin can cause side effects.
But it is very, very, very, very rare unless you have pancreatic cancer before.
discuss it with your GP, there are other meds out there!

sitagliptin replaces metformin if you are having issues with the side effects from metformin. It is also prescribed because of insulin resistance and low first phase insulin response to carbs.

Have you tried dietary changes, for example reducing your carb intake further?
