Sitagliptin

Hi @Jacko5758 ,
I was on the gliptin for about eight years. And no side effects.
It is a dpp4 inhibitor.
The drug is designed to help with first phase insulin response to the glucose derived from food.
Most T2s have insulin resistance and this means your spike is too high and over time increases hba1c levels.
The drug will lower that spike.
Along with a low carb diet, better control of your BG levels will improve things.

It doesn't mean you can have more carbs.

Best wishes.

Appreciate the response I was on emphaglozin for about 2 years but started getting side affects, they moved me on to glipton last week so only been on it a few day along with the metphormin, my mmol is still above 10 but I’m hoping this will start to come down in time.
