First of all it took me a while on how to use so new to it today LOL
I have been diabetic for 2 years diet & excersie but been doctor last week and now been given metformin which has made me very poorley and sick. The doctor now prescribed me Sitagliptin which I will attempt next week .
Has anyone been on them and how has it affected them I would love to know a bit more info before I start to take them.??????

There have been some positive posts about this drug. Someone will reply soon.

Hi. I've been on Sitagliptin for a year now. It appears to have few side effects and has reduced my spikes. I had headaches for the first week and nothing after that. Did you try Metformin SR, the slow release version? It's much better on the stomach. The good thing about Sitagliptin is that it doesn't cause hypos as it's effects reduce as your sugars come back to normal i.e. it's self-balancing

Agree totally with Daibell. I had slight headaches for the first week and it made me very sleepy so I took it in the evenings.

It has mad e an enormous diffference to my levels and I was able to ditch the glimepiride which was making me put on weight {for the first time in my life
