So, after consultation with my dsn and lots of helpful posts here I decided to go on the lads ski trip.
I’m 4 days in and so far no hypos! I have however not been managing my highs very well, I’m so paranoid about going low out on the slope I’m running pretty high. Have reduced my lantus to 16 (from 19) and am only occasionally taking a half dose of novorapid in the evenings. Havent taken any during the day.

short term I guess it’s ok? Whatever works for the individual. Having the libre is a godsend, easy to trend and stop for a snack when needed.

Well done on taking the plunge.
Can I say that about skiing? :-)

As you say, short term, high BG is not a terrible thing. However, it is likely to be zapping your energy that you need on the slopes. I totally understand your nervousness about hypos which on the slopes but perhaps you could increase your insulin in the evening where your environment *should* be more controlled.
Despite all the bravado amongst lads whilst they are away, I have heard it on good authority that they look after each other so you are not alone.

Enjoy the slopes.
