I've had a problem with the skin on my face feeling itchy. Now I've got some rough patches on my lower lip and also on my shoulder. I guess this may be related to my new diet but wondered whether I might correct it with a vitamin supplement. I am already trying to drink more water.

I have several skin problems, if they persist see your GP and ask for a referral to dermatology.

Once I started low carbing a couple of friends commented on how much better my skin looked - I'd had roseaca on my face for years. That cleared up when my numbers came down. My psoriasis has never been at the extreme end, but I notice I've not have much of that since i have been low carbing either.

If you have changed your diet or meds it will be reflected in your skin. It takes about a month for skin to remew itself completely, from the bottom layer up.

I had an operation in mid-April and all the meds I took at that time had an impact on my skin for a few weeks afterwards, which became very dry and flakey, especially on my face.

The other thing you may want to consider is finding toiletries (including shampoo and shower gel) that do not include sodium laurel/laureth sulphate. Look it up. I gradually stopped using products including this ingredient about 5 years ago and it has had a very positive impact on my skin.

If your skin is sore, try using vitamin E oil on it (get it from Holland and Barrett) as this helps keep it soft and flexible while it heals.

Sounds like eczema but could a be a number of other skin conditions, try rubbing some E45 to see if it helps.
