Skinny t2 /morning sugars

Good morning I’m a t2 for 11 years now , on oral meds. I’m very skinny until April 2023 well managed , then all of sudden my sugars in the morning just keep on spiking without any rhyme or reason .

My Endo now wants me to start long lasting insulin at night only .

Any one else know why this happened? I’m not talking about dawn phenomenon that when waking up . This occurs mid morning lady 6-7 hours nothing I can do to bring it down

It might help people to reply to you if you could tell us what medication(s) you're currently on? It would also help to know your last HbA1c, what sort of blood glucose rises you're seeing (in terms of numbers) and whether this is associated with food, stress, or anything else.

I'm sure someone will have some sort of experience that might help you understand what's going on.
