Hi, I take my lantus at 9pm and take my Humalog at breakfast, lunch and tea . I was wondering if I could skip the teatime Humalog and meal as I work through tea and maybe have my Humalog when I get home at 8pm or would that be too near the lantus Ive only recently swapped from 2 injections a day to 4 a day, My question really is can I skip tea without going too high or low

Why not, although you need to be aware that you might still have some active insulin on board depending on what time you go to bed, just keep an eye on your bg levels up until you eat your tea.

If your lantus is right you will not go low. You take quick acting for food. If you dont fancy eating you just skip injection. The whole idea of having quick acting insulin is to get somd freedom and flexibility. Its not 4 injections regime. If you fancy eating one meal a day or none its still fine as long as you match your insulin. The only injection that you cant skip is your lantus as this is your basal that keep you stable in absence of food
