Whelks,winkles... All crustaceous seafood except prawns. Can't do crab.lobster or scallops.
Don't like the way they are killed and cooked. Save our Scallops. SOS !!!
Also HATE evaporated milk.
I have been using my monitor since the middle of June and religiously use my book to write my results down.

I am low carbing and don't haven't really lost much weight which is a surprise as I have virtually cut out all carbs.

I always take a morning reading, half an hour to an hour after waking, before I drink my morning cuppa and I was always about 7 on waking and that gave me an idea what my fasting levels were. I always end up usually 9 after eating.

The odd occasion when I go way over has been when I have experimented with baked beans and bananas and have quickly learned the foods to avoid.

My morning readings started going down slowly and last week I had readings of 5.2,5.4.... I was very happy with this as it means (in my eyes anyway) that I am the way down, which is good.

Suddenly this week my readings are back in the 6s. This morning I was 6.7.

Why is this please ??

I always have a few glasses of Rose in the evening after my dinner which I eat about 6 o clock, I never eat anything late at night.
Ocassionally I will have toast and marmite but that is a rarity.
Readings are normally 6.0 before and 8 after a salad and fish....

Why are my readings a bit up and down ??

Have you been under the weather? That could be a cause?

Not really.... No more than usual.

If I manage to lose some weight will my readings come down automatically ??

Don't know!

I'm in the same boat as you, recently diagnosed, low carbing and finding my way. I've lost about half a stone now, but I suspect I'll put a bit on this week, as I have a stinking cold so can't cycle and my GP has told me to up my carbs until I'm better!
