I give up a year today cold turkey, rushed into A&E thinking I was going to die, long story but it was my wake up call so crushed the packet and that was that. I’m not fishing for a well done or anything but was just wondering if anyone was diagnosed but continued smoking and testing then quit down the line and noticed changes in blood sugar levels. My work mate was saying today he noticed a rise in his levels! However this could have been just due to increased eating, not saying I’m going to start again or suggesting anyone should continue to smoke but just interested

You're still getting one though, very well done!

Can't comment on the effect of quitting smoking on BG, quitting seems almost as impossible as flying to me, wish it was different.

Don’t worry you will one day but you’ve got to be ready, if you’re not ready it won’t work
