Hey guys

I feel I'm becoming too carb conscious because of the spikes I had the latter part of last week and struggling to find suitable filling replacements at meal time or if I need a snack to keep me going until next meal.

I'm type 1 but what sort of snacks do you eat to tie you over until the next meal?

Slice of cheese with mayonnaise, handful of toasted almonds, slice of cake / muffin made with nut flour.

Ha Ha me too. I've had to stop buying multipacks as I can't resist eating them all in one sitting :)
Ummm my bags are 70g....they do a bigger one :p...but I have resisted so far....but 4 bags did happen to accidentally 'fall into'' my trolley in Morrisons.....lord help my resolve if I walk past our local butcher....his are to die for :angelic: :D

Wow 70g!!!
The ones I buy are a six pack of 18g. I don't feel so guilty now he he

I like my olives with anchovies. I don't crave sweet things as often as I do salty things.

And pork scratchings! Oh my, I haven't eaten any for probably 30 years since I had some horrible ones in a pub. But I got some at the weekend to try (as a potential forthcoming holiday snack) and they were a lot better than I remembered. I daren't buy any more just now, my no snacks policy might not endure.

Never liked olives unfortunately but scratchings are divine....food of the gods for me lol....only have them if I am really starving as I value my teeth and also don't want to get into a habit of eating them as I don't snack usually.

Green as a snack, black in dishes, although my husband doesn't like them and calls them goat's eyes, so I don't use them often.

Definitely green, but will eat the black ones too. Maybe start out with the black if you haven't had them before. Enjoy

Olives.. Only started eating them in last 3 months. So far only eating fresh ones from Waitrose with gouda or pimento ones but would if poss want to find nice ones that are cheaper.

Friends of ours last year gave us a plate of olives - 3 out of the 4 of us spat them out, so I am so wary of buying any others.

Can olive eaters tell me which ones they buy? Are they in jars? Are they greek or italian ones? I don't care on colour just want to buy some nice ones after getting scared to buy ones in jars from my friends awful ones!!
