snacks

Nuts, olives, cheese, if you are so inclined, pork scratchings, …
When I was first diagnosed, I was told I could snack on up to 15g carbs without injecting. This would also allow for a stick of Twix or a biscuit … maybe one with the cheese on?

You can always check your blood sugar before and 2 hours after eating a snack to make sure because we are all different. I'm good with cheese but nuts and olives will put my bloods up. There are a few carbs in cheese but for me they are so slow in their effect that my basal covers for it.
 
I can often eat a bag of crisps without it doing much to my blood sugar.A couple of squares of dark chocolate can work well too.I find berries also are good eg.blueberries raspberries.Good luck!
 
what snacks are low carb which we wouldn't have to inject for?

I find there's almost nothing I can 'get away' with in the sense it does not cause a rise in BG. For example, if I have a few olives and feta squares before a meal that will definitely make it rise. It's due to the protein and fat. Even celery and humous makes it rise. The book Think Like a Pancreas goes into the effect of fat and protein a lot.

If I can see the BG is heading down, I can get away with a little something. Also, if I'm being quite active a little snack in the middle of it won't have any effect and might even help to prevent a low.

I used to have snacks pre Libre. Then I saw their effect. I agree with @RobertJ everything rises levels. I stopped snacking unless I have a downward trend I don’t want.
Or I enjoy a decent snack and inject for it.
