Hi
Looking at giving the low carbing a go
I do like quakers porridge for breakfast- carbs- 15.1 can I still have this?just find it sets me up for the day, quite active person
I do like my eggs, so is a ommlette better option? snacks, like fruit & veg, tuna also, is ryvita ok?unsalted nuts?

Hi Jess

Think you need to knock the porrdige on the head. There is an alternative you could test how you react to it

10g of oats
20g ground almonds

make up as you normally would then test if it's ok you could then try 15g of each to see if you can tollerate more oats.

If you search the forum there are some more varieties to making your own porridge.

Omlette for me is the better option.

Snacks - fruit ending in 'berries' and not too much of those. sugar free jelly, nuts, ryvita - depends, i sometimes have 3 nairns cheese oat biscuits with philli on it.

Best thing to do is try something and test 2 hours later.

Yes I will look at the porridge options
Got shopping done today- tuna, lettuce, plenty of salad stuff, eggs, mushrooms, nuts, ryvita.
For lunch, had a mushroom omlette & some unsalted pistachio nuts, all fine, did a bm about 2 hours later, bm was 5.6. Hopefully if I can stick with it, it'll be good
