Sneezing when eating anything sweet...

Hi,
I have been T1D for approximately 35 years and just recently, the past 3 months or so, whenever I eat something that is quite sweet, chocolate, cake or drink full strength soft drink, I start to sneeze.
It doesn't seem to matter what my Glucose reading is at the time, low, high or normal range, it just happens.
It is like my body is telling me to stop...
Does anyone else have this happen to them or does anyone know what causes this?

This happens to be, drinking sugar free ginger beer, but that's all. I can eat ginger in other things, without any impact.
