Hi - Heading back to the slopes for the first time since being on insulin in February.
I'm relatively good and don't spend much time falling over. Just wondering if anyone has got any advice on how my sugars levels are likely to go and what changes to my insulin levels I'm likely to need to do?
Thanks

I'd expect you need less insulin. Also, glucose meters don't like the cold, so keep yours close to your body. Otherwise it will say 'too cold' and you'll have to spend another 5 minutes on the slope with the thing under you arm or between your legs. Also #2, you could invest in a freestyle libre sensor, which enables you to scan with your phone very often. Makes life way easier. I started on it shortly after starting insulin when I had to work on a sailing ship. So happy I did! The only downside is that I didn't want to go without my libre afterwards, so it has become a very expensive thing.

Thanks @Antje77. Yes, will try and get a libre on prescription but if that fails I'll buy one myself.

Might carry a hot water bottle to keep my kit....and me warm! :)
