Hahahaha, you sure did goodI annoyed the hell out of my partner by checking the carb and sugar content of everything packaged lol.
I now have Salads for lunch- lettuce, tomatoes, cooked chicken, eggs and cheese etc.
I also have chicken thighs and fillets and picked up some low fat mince to make bolognese (no spaghetti) for evening meals with a variety of veg eg carrots, broccoli and sprouts.
And a variety of berries which, happily, they were virtually giving away by the punnet!.
But I forgot the Pork scratchings for work snacks...insert sad face here..
Did I do okay ?

Why low fat mince?
Already had butter and yogurt in the fridge. We always seem to have lots of yogurt. Too much yogurt.Sounds good to me, but why low fat mince? I also don't see any butter, cream, full fat yogurts or any other fats on your list. Is there a reason for this?
But you might notice a difference in satiety.. if she eats the same way as you do then she won't need to avoid the fat... its the carbs that make us fat so by avoiding those OH will probably get slimmer too... weird but true..!She’s on a diet so it’s usually 5% fat mince that we get. I don’t notice any difference in taste.
I haven’t heard of them. Tasty ?What the others said. I tried oomi noodles for the first time tonight. They will remain on the shopping list. A good sub for noodles or spaghetti.
Interesting. Yes I think she’s hoping to lose weight by copying me as nothing else she’s tried has seemed to work consistently. But you might notice a difference in satiety.. if she eats the same way as you do then she won't need to avoid the fat... its the carbs that make us fat so by avoiding those OH will probably get slimmer too... weird but true..!
Low carbing might well work for her.. check out @Goonergal and @Rachox weight loss on low carb eating..Interesting. Yes I think she’s hoping to lose weight by copying me as nothing else she’s tried has seemed to work consistently.
True but as a bloke I think it was easier for me.. you two being female are shining examples of what can be achieved. Thanks for the tag @bulkbiker , I was just typing when your post popped up. You need the fat for energy in place of the reduced carbs. I’ve lost over six stone by reducing carbs, haven’t counted a single calorie and eat full fat stuff. And @bulkbiker is being modest he’s lost a shed load of weight too
Husband had rice with his. Fillet steak cut into thin strips, fried with a few onions, mushrooms and chilli in a mixture of garlic butter and oil.I haven’t heard of them. Tasty ?
It’s normally me standing there waiting for her!. Call this my revenge. It's too bad your partner was annoyed. Should have been supportive and cooled her/his heels or been open to being educated. After all what's sauce for the gander is sauce for the goose/gander.
BTW IMO you did good, including the low-fat mince if that's what you like. I try to do low carb but I'm very much on the fence about high fat.
