Thanks all for your support. I've seen the results already in the glucose tests - it's seems like a miracle, doesn't it, when you see those lovely low numbers?! I'm going to keep it up because I can feel the difference already and it's only been a few days. I'm not nearly as hungry as I was when I was carbing - I can't believe it because I've thought for years that it was the carbs which filled me up!
I tried to explain what I was doing to my Mum at the weekend and she can't get her head around it at all - can't say I blame her, that generation was growing up at the end of the war and they couldn't be picky about what food they ate. The last couple of decades' diets have been about low fat, so diving into full-fat Greek yogurt is a complete luxury! 4ratbags, yes, exactly that! It seems counter-intuitive.
I don't tend to buy things off the shelf as I prefer to make everything from scratch, so am going to have to create a "big book of carb values" to help me! I also don't eat meat, so I'm trying to make it even more tricky for myself.
