I have been diagnosed with t1 diabeties for 3 years and I still struggle keeping my bg under control. I feel so tired all the time. Does anyone feel like this?

Hi,,even as T2, when my BG was high, I slept every afternoon and felt very weak :arghh:

most here would suggest you start with doing your basal testing

a bit of a refresher reading might help?

Hi Jilla. Yes most likely the two are related. Erratic blood glucose makes you feel tired. How is your Hba1c?

Hi Spiker @Spiker have been put on a pump but they usually wait 6 months before they take it. It was terrible but im hoping its better now im on tje pump. It will be nowhere near perfect. Its the hardest thing ive ever done.

Yes it is hard Jilla. But the pump should be a big help. Hopefully your Hba1c in six months time will be a lot better.

Do you have a hospital team supporting you on how to use the pump? Nurses?

If accuchek pump you could get an average 90 day read and see what level it is and your SD reading. SD is standard deviation and shows basically an average for how much you are varying in either direction from your target level. Long term wise the lower this SD reading is the better.

The more tests you do the better accuracy your 90 day average will be towards the hba1c level.

I have a brilliant nurse and consultant x its a medtronic pump that I have. I check 6 or more times a day. Some days its such an effort to do anything

Ok well that sounds good. Do you know your Hba1c and your SD?
