Hello fellow Diagnosis day twin!
Well almost, I was tested, at my request (because my sisters recent diagnosis and my age put me at high risk), early in February 2020. I then went on holiday for over a month and only got to phone for my results 2 days after First Lockdown Day. I've never seen anyone, only had one telephone call saying what they would normally do (dn , eye checks etc) but couldn't!
Over the next few months I went low carb, lost weight, got my bg down , and by the time I did get a face to face appointment my bg was so low the DN refused to believe I had T2 and refused to put my diagnosis on the system, therefore I get no support at all, no eye checks, no regular hba1c.
Luckily I found this forum and now mange and monitor myself far better than the NHS ever would.
I can't help with the heart stuff and the other complications that brings, but there are lots of threads and support on here to bring new ideas and recipes that may, or may not, fit what you need.
Do you test your bg to see what certain foods do to your bg?
