I'm wondering whether anyone has tried any of the specialist socks designed for use by diabetics and whether they are any good.
If you have what were they please............my feet are a mess, so sore and i'd be grateful for your help. Thanks.
Yes, I saw the article which is what prompted the question, I was wondering whether anyone had actually tried any specially designed socks......I figure word of mouth is better than some advertising.
I've been more inclined to wear proper walking/hiking socks most of the time to protect my feet. But then I do walk quite a lot and did this before the diabetes diagnosis and was always very protective of my feet.
I haven't tried any of the brands mentioned, but I've a few pairs of another brand which I've mainly used for slobbing around the house in after finding them way too loose for walking far in. Very comfortable for slobbing in, though.
It can be nessesary to some diabetics to use shoes and socks with no lining as the feet can become so sensible and soar that almost anything will affect them and make wounds , we who are not yet that affected must consider us the lucky ones
I have 2 large drawers full of different types of socks.........different styles, different fabrics, different lengths, you name it i've tried it. I also have a wardrobe full of different styles of slippers and shoes, wear padded toe caps recommended by podiatrist and still the sores get worse. Getting desperate now, I don't drive and have to walk everywhere.

My feet are very sensible.
I'm fine with my feet but get swollen ankles. I can no longer wear shoes because of spinal problems so have worn for the last few years those horrible things called crocs ... horrible but easy to slip in and out of.
