Hello guys Just wanted to tell you what happened this morning. I am a Home help/carer, today was a dummy run for a new client. He has virtually lost his sight( but not diabetic) and lives in the countryside. I got on the bus in my town at 8.45am, we hadn't even got to the next stop when the bus had a crash with a car. I was upstairs, I felt the brakes go on and then an almighty crash. The driver shouted with an expletive and that was the end of that journey. Eventually another bus came, we got on it and then HE stopped the bus, got off talked on his phone, came back on and said he couldn't take us , because the driver who was supposed to come ( at some point?) couldn't ? and he would have to take us to the bus station and we would could get the next bus, they run every hour. I ran the gentleman who would be waiting at the bus stop 3 times and I did eventually meet him on the bus and we went on our way. Luckily, no one was hurt, the car driver and bus driver were a bit shaken. The bus had its right side headlight hanging out, with a few bumps and a piece of the metal corner on the road.
On the way back we went to his bungalow, so I knew exactly where it was and then I waited at the bus stop to go home. In front of mw was a huge big field and to the left of this field a lovely cottage which is being re thatched. The sun came out and it was just so lovely there and next door to all the bungalows is a big house surrounded by trees and bushes which has been sold for over a million pounds.
And the rest of the day has gone smoothly. It's been a bit of strange week. We are going out tomorrow, by train, so fingers crossed.
Hope you had a pleasant and safe Friday best wishes RRB
