come to Devon Mart, beautiful area, Cornwall not far away, North Devon and north Cornwall coasts are gorgeous, my area office is in Minworth, and on a good day in can do the journey in approximately 3 1/2 hours

An idea for you :idea:

Fancy a choo choo ride up to the 'north' Lake District ?
Great fantastic scenery and many place to wander about and chill out .
Plenty of things to see and do up there - if a beautiful fell walk isnt your thing .

This NEVER fails to chill and revive 'me' :thumbup:

I'd say go to the Isle of Wight with a tent and give yourself 2 days to leisurely walk across the whole island. Lots of different terrain and a pretty cool zoo with a Golden Tabby tiger. I went there whilst doing my D of E award.

How about looking at places in mid Wales?
look on-line for tourist sites. There are some lovely places and lots of outdoorsy stuff to do

If you like walking, the Pembrokeshire coast path has just come second in a worldwide survey of spectacular coast lines. Can't remember where no. 1 was but it was very, very far away!

Some excellent suggestions! I love the lakes, Wales is just over an hour away, Isle of Wight was an annual event when I was younger! Only done scotland a couple of times, Devon and Cornwall are great, though it takes forever to get to. Thanks all, I'll have a look at the web and fresh air, relaxing and walking are all my idea of a good time.

Edinburgh! It's a great holiday destination. If you want the festival is on in August which is great fun, but accommodation prices sky rocket. July is lovely though. Plenty beer gardens or a walk up Arthur's seat etc. I love it..... I'm head there on Friday for a quick weekend!

It's nice around the Cotswolds, and since you're in the W. Mids it's nice and close!
